I learned that I should not be left loose in a TJ Maxx with an empty shopping cart and only one thing on my list to buy (dog treats).

2.5 hours later and I leave with a full shopping cart of wonderful gift items for sons, their partners, our dear dog, and my hubby.

(Note to investors: TJ Maxx or Home Shopping Goods is a great stock to buy given the number of people in the store.)

I’ve recently discovered Ollie’s Bargain Barn. Same effect.

Our Nordstrom Rack was a zoo lately! Alas, no stock tips - JWN went private.

We have TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, Home Goods and Sierra all of which are owned by the same company and I always end up with lots of “stocking stuffers” when I’m there. Recently at Marshall’s lines have been from front to back of the store.

You’re missing out on Home Sense - more home decor than home goods (rugs, paintings, furniture, etc.)

I learned that I can set up my iPhone Lock Screen to rotate through the nature pictures found in my photos. This gives me so much happiness as I look at beautiful and always sunny scenes, and think of the wonderful trips I’ve taken.

I have mine set up to do this. If you have an iPhone and the latest update, you can even make them have a 3-D effect.

This is so cool! I also have oodles of outdoor pics on my phone that I treasure. Is there a step by step you can share??

Yay—you can air fry frozen potstickers from the store. Turns out great! Just bought some (Ajinomoto brand on coupon) at Costco and decided to try it. Brush lightly or mist with oil. Cook in air fryer @400 for about 6 minutes. Turn them and brush/mist again. Ready in about another 4+ minutes.

Whenever i’ve tried to make it in a pan, it turns out burnt and stick to my stainless steel frying pan. :frowning: This air fryer method is SO much easier & better. We all enjoyed the potstickers!

I went to Settings > Wallpaper > +Add New Wallpaper > Photo Shuffle > Nature. You can then pick how often the picture changes.

One of my skills is making them in an electric frying pan. Frozen into the pan (little bit of oil) until browned to my liking, and then add a cup of water and cook until the water is gone. My mother used to make them without frying first, but then they are just white and gooey. I like them browned.

But I might try the air fryer.

I learned I actually like overnight oats! I thought they sounded awful. I do like oatmeal, hot, thick and buttery and do not like anything sweet in any type of cold or hot cereal. However, when looking for new anti-inflammatory recipes, this one had so many benefits, I thought I’d give it a shot and wow, I actually truly like the outcome. Will be making a batch of 5 pint jars to eat daily as my lunch (my breakfast).

What are the ingredients in this one?

It’s probably just a standard one but they just never looked appealing to me. Anyway, the recipe I used is:

1/3 cup old fashioned oats

1 tbs chia seeds

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1 tbsp of walnut butter (I had to make my own in the blender because I could not find)

1-2 tsp of honey (I made some with honey and some with Pure Stevia)

Mix the oats, the chia seeds and the cinnamon in a pint jar while dry, then add the almond milk. Drizzle the walnut butter and honey on top and leave it there.

When ready to eat: Mix the walnut butter and honey into the mixture and top with fresh berries of your choice.

Note: The walnut butter is kind of a pain to make in the blender, I’m thinking I may just chop up some walnut pieces a little smaller and throw them in the dry mix before pouring the almond milk in.

You could consider subbing peanut butter.

Yum! I am going to try it, using almond butter that I have.

Wonder why the purpose of walnut butter is - that seems very random.

Guessing because it is anti-inflammatory. Many of them call for almond or peanut butter.
