<p>That is a good one. Regarding your application, you get into Rice not into a particular school (engineering etc.)</p>

<p>A tessellation I did for geometry a few years back… I made a giraffe shape, and all of the giraffes have different colors, facial expressions, accessories, etc. :)</p>

<p>I uploaded an image of a doggy being hugged by a stuffed animal and wrote “sympathy.” Just thought it was cute.</p>

<p>I actually stitched together the beginning of an owl friendship bracelet out of 21 threads of embroidery floss and then glued that into the box and mailed it.</p>

<p>I put a big green iscosceles triangle…you know, the one that appears when you complete the CommonApp. I don’t know why but I thought that was clever at the moment…now it just seems really dumb</p>

<p>The rest of my application was fairly serious, so I posted a picture of a baby hedgehog smiling while curled up in somebody’s hands.</p>

<p>I just doodled some cute things for a few minutes and then scanned it. I couldn’t bear to overthink that part of the application after slaving over the essays.</p>
