Where they annoyed? Did it depend on how good your stats where? I’m talking about ivy-league type schools or if you applied to an above average amount of tippy top schools.
It definitely depends on your stats and if previous students from your hs have had good experiences at the elite school.
In general, it isn’t really the counselor’s place to be “annoyed” with your choice of colleges. They may, however, question whether you genuinely care about the college and whether you know a lot about it. Show this knowledge (rather than an attraction to the brand-name) and you should be fine.
What difference to you does it make what a random poster’s GC, at a random HS, thinks of his/her college choices?
It might help you more to share your college list, qualifications, and goals here. Then the College Confidential Virtual Guidance Counsellors can weigh in with their opinions about whether you have a good list.
