<p>I know there is no perfect formula for admission to a certain college. So, I would like to know what is one thing that many, if not all, Wharton students have as Extra Curriculars. I’m a sophomore.</p>

<p>The best way to figure that out is to look at admitted student threads on CC. I don’t think you’ll hear anything concrete from posters on CC because none of us have a really good idea of what ECs our freinds in Wharton did in high school.</p>
<p>Is a non-Whartonite allowed to jump in? A lot of Wharton acceptees that I know did DECA.</p>
<p>This thread won’t be of much help to you, though, I feel like… there isn’t a golden-key EC that Wharton seems to be looking for. Just go after what you’re interested in.</p>

<p>Most of the Wharton students I know manage hedge funds that have outperformed the S&P 500 by at least 40% for at minimum 3 consecutive years.</p>
<p>that’s funny QuakerOats415 but I did manage a considerable sum (although no hedge fund) and I did beat the s&p500 and it was at least 40% (I got out of equities and into treasuries before the crash solely on my own prognosis). I made it into a stellar essay (included analysis) and it got me in.</p>

<p>They overwhelmingly participated in Karaoke. You need to prove to the adcom that you’re not afraid to come out of your shell in front of others, because Wharton classes involve a lot of public speaking/presentations.</p>

<p>@ honors, yeah, but if you have like extensive research in biochemistry or something then that’s not really going to help as much if your intended major is business related.</p>
<p>I’d venture a guess that there are a fair number of Wharton students who did scientific research during high school. My friend in Huntsman did. He also did a bunch of other stuff too.</p>
<p>I know a current Whartonite whose application was built for the study of biology. So pretty much anything goes.</p>

<p>it really depends…i mean i didn’t do anything that was that business-oriented. it’s ultimately the candidate who is judged, not his/her ECs.</p>
