One more question do colleges look at how much extra activity you have done or if you had done anything at all. I havent done anything my freshman year and I wont be able to this year. But next year I am planning to volunteer for 100 hours and join golf maybe. And in my senior just to volunteer for 100 hours too. Will that be enough for any college? preferably uw? And would they prefer more volunteering hours or school activity hours?

How do you like to spend your time?
You might find it interesting to read through the “hidden ECs” thread.

can u send me the link please? i cant seem to find it

Volunteer with school balanced. Instead of doing 100 volunteer maybe do 50, and join a club/sports team.
Prior to junior year i did minimal volunteer and 0 ECS.
I now do business club, student government, and religious studies and plan to volunteer a good amount this summer and also join the tennis team next year.
