What do colleges think if I do better in AP classes than CP classes?

<p>Strangely, I do better in my supposedly “harder” classes than my easier classes. For example, I have A’s in both my AP classes, A minuses in most of my Honors classes and B’s in both my College prep classes, the lowest level.</p>

<p>Maybe it’s a motivation problem as I find my CP classes very boring and uninspiring, but what will colleges make out of this trend if they see my grades?</p>

<p>Also, I have had a 3.6 gpa(horrible for selective LAC’s) for all of my high school years but if during senior year I go all out and get straight a’s, will they consider this encouraging?</p>

<p>Depends what colleges. First, they won’t have all of senior year when making a decision. Second, kids not living up to potential is not what top colleges are looking for. They have way more candidates that have achieved full potential than they can take. At less selective colleges they will be more impressed.</p>
