Hi,
I’m a civil engineering student who just finished his freshman year. Right now I’m taking a few summer classes. By the start of 2016 I’ll have enough credits to a be junior. I’ll also have two autocad classes under my belt and three civil design classes by that point. I’ve been able to maintain a 3.9 GPA so far by staying pretty focused and coordinated. I worked a full time seasonal job last summer. Still, I feel like it’s not enough. I joined the ASCE but I haven’t been too active within the student chapter.
What should I do to make myself a marketable candidate to engineering firms?
What skills would I be expected to exercise typically for a starting civ eng?
