What do I do? Do Others Have This Problem?

I was really looking forward to AP Biology, but now I am really worried. At my school, it is a two-year long course (it is more rigorous), and the teacher makes the class almost impossible to make an A in (I think only 4 of her students made As last year (the top four in the entire class)). Her tests are all made up from questions that are HARDER than AP questions.

The very first test was OPEN BOOK, and it was on the FIRST CHAPTER (the only time a test will be open book), and I got a 91 (one of the highest grades in the class). A 91 on the easiest content in the book-- with an open book. This is why I’m worried.

After getting straight As all my life, I really don’t want to make anything less. Does anyone have any advice?

Wow. Sounds tough. Unfortunately, I don’t have any advice besides study like you’ve never studied before!

Wow. Sounds a lot like my ap bio last year, except it was only 1 year.
Some reassurance: in my class, people generally did worse on open-book tests just because they didn’t spend as much time actually learning and depended on the book too much. And the first test in any class is usually hardest, regardless of content. And you still got an A on it.
If it remains as hard as you say, then you only have to choose whether you prefer an A or your sanity and work from there. :)
