What do I need the WesID for at this point?

<p>I will be a junior this fall and I’ve started researching colleges this year. I’m interested in Wesleyan U and yesterday I joined their mailing list to find out that today they sent me an automatic response, providing me with WesID. As far as I understand, I will need it when and if I decide to apply, but as it is still early for that, is it useful to me at this point for any other purpose?</p>

<p>Nope. You’ll only need your WesID when applying and sending in materials to the admissions office. At least, that was the case for me.</p>

<p>CloudCult is correct–you won’t need your WesID until you decide to apply, in which case it will be used on application materials, etc. Then, if you are accepted and decide to attend, it will become your permanent WesID during your years at Wesleyan.</p>
