What do I need to do in the next two years?

Right now I am a sophomore, but am already a little stressed about college. One school that I am currently interested in is NYU (I know, how typical). I am especially interested in the Tisch School of Arts.

3 semesters into my high school career I have a (non weighted) GPA of 3.4 or 3.5. I take as many honors and AP classes as I can, participate in one major extracurricular (Drama), and do about an hour of volunteer work a week.

In terms of the Tisch aspect, I am an officer of the drama club, have participated in about 25 plays, from school to professional, in various capacities in my life, and have won various awards such as qualifying for the State Thespian conference.

My question is what do I need to do academically and extracellularly over the next few years to be able to get into a school like that.

Also another side question is what other schools do you think I should be looking at?

I think Tisch focuses mainly on your audition. But don’t take my word for it.

The best thing you can do for yourself, overall, is to improve your GPA.

Thank you, I figured that would be important, seeing as my GPA is certainly less than perfect at this point.

Improve GPA and really focus on your drama.

Also look at Rutgers, Suny Purchase, Muhlenberg and American University.
