Georgia Tech is the school I want to go to, and I was wondering what stats you would need to get accepted. Currently I am a sophomore with a 3.64 UW GPA with the most rigorous schedule I can take. I live in Georgia, I am an asian male, and I plan to major in physics. I’m also in a couple of extracurricular activities, but nothing too special. What SAT scores, GPA, and other things do I need to get into Georgia Tech?

GPA is good if you are taking a rigorous course load and your school doesn’t inflate GPAs.

Aim for a 1950+ on the SAT (with at least a 660 Math).

I would aim higher than that.

thanks guys. i think I should try to pull my gpa up to over a 3.75 and get atleast a 2100 SAT and then im solid

i got in through the early action program the other day with a 3.7 and a 2170 sat (760 math) i had a good amount of extracurriculars as well. you might want to find the early action admissions thread. (this should give u a general idea of what u need to have to get in) a 3.7 with a 2100 should be enough to get you in. The peoples stats that I saw on the early admissions thread who got in either had high sats with low gpas, low sats, with high gpas, or a good mix of the two (which is what your aiming for) good luck and go jackets!
