Of course there is no “minimum score”…but based on my stats below -what would you say I need to get on the SAT to get in? FYI- I have not taken it yet…taking this week & am nervous!

Junior, in-state, female, competitive public HS in NOVA

3.87 W, 3.84 UW (probably about the same after the end of this year, maybe 3.9)

Advanced Courses: AP History, IB English 1, IB Psychology SL, IB Spanish

Next year :AP English, IB Math Studies, IB Psych 2 HL, IB Spanish 2 HL, IB Biology SL

ECs:
NHS, SHS (Vice President), Model Judiciary, Partners Club, Young Conservatives (President), Competitive Dancer, Varsity Dance Team, 2 year DECA competitor- Top 10 at Internationals

Thank you in advance. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

this is a tough question to answer. will you be graduating with an IB diploma? and I’m guessing you’re top 10% of your class with such a high GPA…

I guess a 2000 SAT would give you a pretty good chance. You may be able to get in with lower, but obviously, the higher the better. I feel like in-state, non URM you should try to set the floor at 1950-2000 range. Just do your best on the SAT and try not to worry about it. You’ll be fine.

High GPA is more important than SAT as W&M. My in-state son was waitlisted despite scoring 760 or better on every standardized test he’s ever taken.

Take a look at this scattergram. The data is limited though.

i’d say 1400 makes you a lock for in-state
