What do I put for my parents on the FAFSA form?

So, my parents divorced shortly after I was born. My mom has custody over me and my dad has been out of the picture basically my whole life. Now, my mom and her boyfriend have been together for 10 or 11 years (I consider him my stepdad but they never legally married). I obviously live with them both and have lived with them both since they’ve been together. I was just going to put my mother’s information because that makes the most sense since they’re not legally married. Or, do I put both? No one in my family has been to college so I am trying to figure this out on my own. Any info helps.

You just put down the income and assets of your mom on the FAFSA.

Agree. You’ll be helped by googling for some help from the Fafsa folks.

“If your parents are divorced or separated and don’t live together, answer the questions about the parent with whom you lived more during the past 12 months.” https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa/filling-out/parent-info

This would change if your Mom had legally remarried.
