What do schools mean by saying this?

Some schools say “to be eligible to enroll,…, you must have completed one full year…”(as on NU’s website) or “to be considered as a transfer student, you must have completed one full year of study”. Does it mean I need to complete one academic year prior to application or enrollment?

Thank you for responding.

Prior to enrollment. Analogous to fr applicants in HS, they expect you will finish up the coursework you have stated you are taking and are subject to being rescinded if you don’t or if you receive unsatisfactory grades.

Thank you so much! So when they say “You are not encouraged to apply if you already finish 2 years” It means you can’t apply as a sophomore and enroll in as a junior?
