What do the pre reqs mean?

<p>I was looking at a spanish course and in the catalog of classes and it says that the prerequisite for Spoken Spanish is “3 or equivalent.” Does that mean Spanish 3 taken in high school or does it mean something else? Thanks in advance.</p>

<p>That generally means college spanish. However, i’m sure you can test into if you are capable.</p>

<p>Yes, Spanish 3 or equivalent would be college Spanish 3; the department has a test to determine your competency.</p>

<p>Spanish 3 at Berkeley would probably equate to a AP Spanish 4 or 5 class, but I stand to be corrected.</p>
