Ok, so i got a 34 Composite on my ACTs and i was wondering what that means as far as college acceptances as well as scholarship opportunities…
how much does it really help…(im not looking at HYPS, just regular state schools and such)

Such a score should be extremely competitive at any public university in the country. Assuming your grades, curriculum, and overall record are nearly as strong, you have a high likelihood of acceptance at any public university, even if applying as an out-of-state student to a public university which puts tight restrictions on these.

This should also make you very competitive for many scholarships at all but highly selective private schools. And even at these schools you will still be a viable candidate for merit scholarships, assuming they are offered (many of the most selective schools do not give merit scholarships). Again this is assuming you are completing a challenging curriculum with excellent grades, are reasonably active in your school and community, and have no history of discipline problems.

Have a 4.0 without weight, 4.4 with
all honors, 4 AP’s this year, and 4-5 Ap’s next year…
Work part time, leadership in several organizations
one minor discipline issue

you’re gonna be great.
