what do they mean by "if you will have completed fewer than 30 credits"?

I’m applying to Syracuse and on the website it says:

“If you will have completed fewer than 30 credits of college-level coursework, please submit an official copy of your secondary school transcript.”

Do they mean by the end of the year, or by the time you send in your application? I will have 15 by the end of this semester but 31 by the end of year. Does this mean I need to send in my HS transcript or not? I’ll probably end up needing to call the school but if anyone has applied to a school that had a requirement similar to this, could you tell me what you did?

You will probably have to call the school because some schools differ on their policies, i.e. either they want the 30 credits ALREADY completed before applying, or they need 30 credits done before you can matriculate at that school.

ure supposed to have 30 credits by the time they receive your application

Tim…that’s not a universal policy. Are you just commenting for Syracuse or for everywhere?

I know for a fact that most universities are alright with students being currently enrolled in enough credits to fulfill 30 by the time the school year ends.

just call or email the admissions office, they should be able to tell you.

as far as I know, it’s 30 credits you’ve earned.

You need 30 credits when you apply to Syracuse. but, when in doubt, call.
