<p>this may seem like a dumb question, but when counselors send high school transcripts to colleges…what exactly do they contain? is it just an envelope with the transcript inside? a personal statement? are adcoms supposed to just look at the name on the transcript and put it with “john smith”'s application?</p>
<p>look in the school forms section of the common app and you can find the form they fill out. It includes a recommendation, yoru senior schedule, stuff like that. Usually, schools also have an information brochure or page that helps put the rigor of your courseload in context and the counselor will send that also. It’ll list the grading scale, the number of APs offered, the colleges that seniors were admitted to last year, etc. If your school has one of those your counselor will give you a copy if you ask.</p>
