What do UC's Do?

what do uc’s do when they find out that you have below a 3.0 uw gpa for fall semester?

my friend got his admission taken away from UCI and now he goes to a community college because his overall senior GPA<3.0

suggestion- do really well spring quarter and make it over a 3.0 for senior year as a whole, whatever that will take for u to do.

so…when i report my senior grades now.will they take away my admission without even looking at my spring grades?

you are not required to report your senior grade now though.

for the supplemental forms i am…

Let them know about your situation ASAP. If you simply send in your grades without any explanation they’ll rescind their admission offer for sure that way.

how the **** are we supposed to know?

laxattack09: i’m just wondering…you may not know but others may

If you fail to meet the senior req. and you contact the UC’s IMMEDIATELY, will you be safe from being rescinded?

This is a question that I think will be difficult to answer. It’s a two parter, really. You haven’t been offered admission yet, so you can’t have your acceptance rescinded. Your entire senior year grades are included in determining whether you meet the 3.0 minimum. Since you don’t have your Spring semester grades, neither you nor we can opine as to either admission or recission. If you are required to send them your fall semester grades, do so. You are not required to respond to the supplemental questionnaire. But you chose to respond. Now you have an incomplete response. If no response would not help your situation, I think an incomplete response would indicate to the reviewer that you were not interested and have the same result as no response.

confused: actually, nobody on this board will know…unless you are lucky enough to get an admissions officer to come onto CC and tell you, in particular, if they will in fact do what you say. Do you think anyone on here “knows?” Cuz nobody does, it’s all speculation…

actually there is a ucd rep on these forums.

This is easy to answer for the UC Davis campus; however, each UC campus is going to be different. Some campuses might request additional senior year records to include with the decision making process, other may not and will rescind/revoke admissions if you don’t meet their requirements. If you are admitted to a UC campus, be sure to read and follow the Conditions of Admissions for that campus. They will state what you need to do as a student to keep you admissions to that campus. If you do not meet these conditions, your admissions will be place in jeopardy.

For the Davis campus we most likely will not ask for senior year records until after you decide to attend our school, if admitted. During the Statement of Intent to Register process (SIR), this is the process you say yes to our offer of admissions, you will agree to the Conditions of Admissions. If these conditions are not met your admissions will be placed in jeopardy, note that your admissions will not be automatically rescinded/revoked until we receive an explanation from you first.

I hope this answers your question, but each campus will handle this differently.
