What do USC students do in the summer?

When school is out for the summer, what do students typically do? Go home? Work? Internships? A big deal for me is that home is in Kentucky and I don’t want to leave the area (LA) other than just to visit, to make sure I stay used to the area and don’t see it as just where I’m being schooled.

I know internships for Engineering (I’m applying for engineering) typically require 3 semesters of classes before you can take an internship, so the summer after freshman year, I dunno what I’d do.

most people go home and get a job or travel.

summer after soph year i stayed on campus and worked, though. there are several campus jobs that pay for your housing, so it can be cheaper than going home.

If you want to stay at USC, you could try to be an orientation advisor. I believe you get paid and they pay for your housing.

or you could try to get some other internship in the area in some other field that interests you.

not a student, just hypothesizing.
