Something new I tried at Costco last visit (and I didn’t even sample it while there!)

A couscous salad that is in the cold cases where the hummus etc. is located. It’s called Pita something. Basically, a cold salad (though it says you can eat hot or cold) with couscous, black olives, red pepper and a light olive oil type dressing - but not heavy at all. I have bought it and then gone home and added crumbled feta cheese, greek olives, diced onion and red/orange peppers, fresh herbs and a little more olive oil or garlic vinegarette - it’s DELICIOUS!

Took it to a family get -together yesterday and it was a big hit! The container at Costco was only $4.99 - about the same size at one of their big hummus containers. Will definitely buy again!

What color wrapper does your Kirkland toilet paper come in? My nearest Costco has the blue kind, but last week I was in a restaurant in a different city where they have the clear wrappers and I find those are much softer. Anyone else found this to be true? I am wondering if they are different suppliers.

We love that Costco couscous salad. It’s fabulous with salmon and a green salad. Mmmmm.

Another good thing to buy at Costco - glasses. My 20-year-old son only needs glasses for distance and is always losing them. We are able to get reasonably nice looking glasses, lens included, at Costco for $65. You have to be patient though. They take about two weeks.

I didn’t know whether to put this on this thread or on the “good buy of the day”.

Bought a Pantech Ease cell phone for my husband on the recommendation of my sister. Could have bought it directly from AT&T with the upgrade option for $70. But got it at Costco with a free carrier bag and a car phone charger for $10

I recently bought some stuffed grape leaves. I don’t remember tie brand. They were really good! Also picked up Amylu smoked apple and gouda chicken sausages. Sounds strange, doesn’t it? They were pretty good, too.

just came back from there. This deal has a 2 year contract attach to it, to me it is not good, because I need to replace a lost phone. Which must be no plan attach to it and Costco has nothing to offer in that nature.

The lime cilantro shrimp are already fully cooked. I would think any further cooking/grilling would turn them to leather.
I just bought them and they are yummy just as they are.

no problem…
for a while, I thought I made a mistake, I bought the Nokia Gophone, from att website for under 10… Its not fancy, just for talk, but that is perfect for me.

Went to Costco today and got the lime cilantro shrimp and intend to put it into a mixed grain salad. I’ve bought it a couple of other times and found it a little over-powering to just eat plain, but it sure is yummy.

We like most things that we get at Costco but one thing that we all agreed did not taste that good was the apple pie. Love the fresh bagels and the baguettes but the pie had an un-flaky crust and a corn syrupy filling. Darn!

I got the black bean chipotle ones earlier this summer and we all like them. I got them for vegetarian daughter who wasn’t home as much as I thought she would be so one of my son’s and I had a couple too. We liked them and had them with mango salsa.
