What do you buy at Costco?

Bumping this old thread up to recommend a new product from Costco - Roasted Pineapple and Habanero Sauce. It comes in a big 32 oz. bottle and has just the right amount of bite and yummy flavor. This may be my new go to hot stuff!

Yes, we’re fans of Mochi Ice Cream as well & they’ve had it at our Costcos in HI for years now. Have not heard of or tried the new hot sauce.

I just finished a bowl of peaches and mangoes from Costco for dinner. Both were wonderful! I also had Dave’s Killer Bread, tiny Gouda cheeses, and cottage cheese tonight–all from Costco.

Pellegrino, my beloved beverage of choice, is on sale now. I’s sad that it takes me 1 1/2 hrs. to get there now.

Small appliances for DD1’s college apartment :)

Tears of Dew–an after dinner sweet wine. It’s good and less than it costs at other places. D & I like it.

D likes the Coconut Water currently at Costco. It’s on coupon for $5 off right now, so we just got 2 cases. It’s D’s favorite beverage–loaded with electrolytes, few calories and no sugar. It’s a bit expensive, but better for her teeth than her former favorite–carbonated apple cider!

We buy a lot of the trident seafoods frozen wild pacific salmon. It’s just terrific and a bargain. Grilling it several times a week this summer.

Also, I buy the Wyman’s frozen organic blue berries. Fabulous. Also, the frozen organic mixed vegetables.

I also buy a lot of cheeses at Costco – I like the feta cheese in the block form, keeps forever and I think it is much more flavorful than the crumbled variety. I like the provolone, and Black Diamond cheddar, as well.

My wish item – 2% organic milk. Our Costco only carries nonfat or whole fat and I just prefer 2%.

Oh, did I mention fresh cage free eggs? They are a steal at Costco.

My other wish item would have to be better bread. Have never found a really good loaf of bread at Costco . . .

I wondered about that Pineapple/Habanero sauce - how have you used it???

Lately my kids are all over the taboulleh - two meals and the whole container is gone!

all of the Robert Rothschild Farm sauces at Costco are amazing! 2 summers ago they carried Spicy Mango something. Last summer it was Hot Pepper Raspberry Chipolte and was so good, I bought the last 12 jars my Costco had, as I found my picky 15yo son would eat any meat that it covered. We are now down to our last 2 bottles and are very sad. The Pineapple just isn’t in the same league.

My other unique Costco find is the Mango Peach salsa. A few spoonfuls over fish and you have a gourmet meal.

My standard (ie/ every trip) Costco buys include HUGE tubs of humus, 3 dz eggs, a rotisserie chicken & milk.

I have a section of the small white board in my kitchen sectioned off for Costco. (other sections are Trader Joes & ShopRite).

^^^ You just need a Wegmans section. Two out of three ain’t bad…

they have a lot of good kosher and halal options :)

I’m not a parent, but I love Costco :D

DH and I were just at Costco yesterday. We always get our shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, and trash bags there. And we fill up the gas tank while there.

Just curious…what’s Dave’s Killer Bread?

Dave’s Killer Bread is a line of whole grain breads. Dave’s an ex-con (drug convictions, I think). I believe I read that it’s Costco’s top selling bread, which surprised me since it’s so healthful. We buy it, too.

I’ve been buying Tasty Bite’s Madras Lentils, a box of microwaveable pouches. They weren’t on the shelf when I shopped yesterday. Hope they haven’t been discontinued as so many of my favorites tend to be.

Unless the prices were super attractive at Costco, there are still options. In addition to the company website, you might enjoy the price and free shipment at the other big box. And it does not hurt you can get a few SW points this way.

Since I am getting about all our sauces and dips directly from Mexico, all those products appear to be very expensive, but if they are awesome … :)

thanks, however the Costco bottles are 40oz and cost under $15. I try not to patronize WalMart too much, as I don’t like how they treat their vendors.

yes…trash bags at Costco. I don’t have an HE washer and that’s all I find at ours. The gas at the one near our beach house isn’t always the cheapest around, but after the rebate with the Amex, it usually is.

Who else likes the berry smoothie? $1.55, including tax and it’s just amazing…

Thanks for letting us know about Dave’s Killer Bread…I’m at Costco @once or twice a month and will look for it the next time I’m there!

Speaking of the smoothie…that ice cream bar looks yummy! I saw someone eating one and it was huge! Will have to be sure to try it one of these days…soon! :)

“thanks, however the Costco bottles are 40oz and cost under $15. I try not to patronize WalMart too much, as I don’t like how they treat their vendors.”

Gotcha! That is more like the Fischer & Wieser Original Raspberry Chipotle Sauce that is 40 oz and cost about 14.95.

That sauce sounds really good. Is this what you are referring to Xiggi? [: Fischer & Wieser Razzpotle Roasted: Grocery & Gourmet Food](http://www.amazon.com/Fischer-Wieser-Razzpotle-Raspberry-Chipotle/dp/B000TTDDWE/ref=pd_sim_gro_1)

So far, I used it on leftover rotisserie chicken and on a pork wrap. I had some leftover roasted pork that I shredded with a fork and heated up. I didn’t have any club rolls, so put the pork in a wrap with the sauce and some shredded cheese. Yum! Sometimes food just needs a kick without the tomato taste…

The in-store samples were on turkey burgers.

thread drift…who else can make a meal out of a lunchtime weekend Costco trip? (definitely at the one by our beach house, not so much by the one near our year-round house).
