I don’t buy many clothes or gifts, mostly food, vitamins, personal and cleaning items. The occasional small appliance.

I used to get Wymans frozen wild blueberries, but they haven’t had them the last couple of times I’ve been there. I would put them in the Kirkland plain Greek yogurt.

Got some LED light bulbs this week, 60W and 40W equivalents. I’m sad they can’t sell wine in PA stores.

Has anyone bought a Christmas tree from them? I am curious what the prices are when they have the truck in the parking lot.

I’ve bought the Christmas trees the last two years. I saw one staged in our Costco the other day and I believe the price this year is $26.99 - maybe a dollar more than in the past?

The trees IMO are definitely nice large, tall, full trees. A better bargain can’t be found in our area. I did have a friend who had a bad experience with hers last year - once she brought it in the house and the sap warmed up the tree dropped a lot of tiny bugs - apparently this is somewhat common in Christmas trees (?) - she complained and the store gave her a refund. We have had very good luck though and I will likely go back there again for ours this year - I like a very tall, very full tree - and for under $30? Great deal.

My MIL is undergoing chemo and has weight loss/ appetite issues. Costco carries a sunflower seed based cracker called Somersaults that she enjoys nibbling on.
Love their jarred pesto and chicken base for instant broth to use in cooking.

I love that they sell hormone-free milk. And a gallon of milk is much cheaper at Costco than at the grocery store. They also sell organic milk, but that 's a bit out of budget. All of their dairy prices are quite good. And ground beef is so much cheaper at Costco.

My frustration with Costco is with clothing. No petite sizes and small sized clothing is hard to find (if they even have it).

I bought the Patissa European Style Mini Dessert sampler yesterday as a compliment to our Thanksgiving pies, and put the box in our garage freezer. I came home last night to discover DS had not only found it, but had busted it out for himself and his friends. I asked him how he could possibly think it was intended for everyday consumption, and he said it looked so good, he just couldn’t help himself! The kids gave everything rave reviews, and DS will be making a trip to Costco this weekend to replace. It was only $12 or so in-store.

We love the fact they have $100 gift cards to restaurants that sell for $80. I also got the wife a signed copy of Tom Douglas’ cookbook. The big packs of peanut butter crackers for our kids lunches, extra-virgin olive oil by the gallon, big blocks of cheese and those giant jars of kalamata olives are some of our staples.

I really, really dislike going there, though. It is overcrowded with too many bottlenecks in the store.

DH did a Costco run this week which will be the last time for the year because after Thanksgiving too many people shopping for holidays. Along with the usual 2 cases of seltzer and paper towels and TP (we have enough to last for 2 years most likely) he bought a knife sharpener as apparently long gone are the days of the knife sharpener truck. We used to have a guy come by at least once a year but haven’t seen him in a very long time. We don’t celebrate Christmas so no holiday shopping on our end.

Yes, if I dig I can find size Small, but I have noticed that they stock far more Medium and Large sizes so unless I get it early, there may not be any Smalls left.

A new Costco opened not too far from me that has a gas station. I understand that Costco gas is generally cheaper than at gas stations. I hope so!

I have complained locally and on the Costco.com website about the dearth of size small; lately, I have been able to find more of them than previously, so hope they read the comments as I have been promised they do.

I was floored when they brought in loads of basic Kirkland branded pants that not only have my size waist - 32 - but which aren’t cut huge & wide in the leg. For $17! And they’ve had Calvin Klein athletic cut shirts! And not all in XL! So they are clearly adjusting the mix of what they buy.

Yea, maybe they got tired of putting all the XL, XXL and larger sizes on sale because those were the only remaining sizes? Our store still doesn’t have much in men’s size 30, and definitely nothing smaller other than boys.

They just started carrying sizes over 14 here. Everything else is small/x-small, it seems!

I am a huge fan of the pumpkin flax seed cereal. Mix it with fat-free Greek yogurt (esp 0% greek pumpkin yogurt from TJ’s) and I am in heaven. Very filling breakfast or snack.
