Anyone else sorely missing the frozen wild Pacific salmon? For several months now, my Costco has only carried the Atlantic farm raised or marinated wild salmon. That was a staple in my weeknight rotation.

I anticipate missing the Northwest Raspberry Spread that was sold this summer. I saw it one time & took a chance – bought 4 jars. Totally delicious on toast! We finished one jar in record time I was back this week & was going to buy more so I could rest easy w/ a full larder. As I sighed in dismay when faced only w/ Organic Strawberry spread, a couple asked if I was looking for the raspberry stuff & that it was gone. They had only bought 1 jar so they were truly* bereft. If you see it next year, snag it quickly!

Here’s what NOT to buy at Costco. Sweet potato salad w jicama, quinoa and kale. Got it last Thursday for the family. It tasted like pure vinegar. Not one person finished the spoonful they had on their plate. Took it back today and told them is was horrible. They just smiled and refunded me my money.

PeriwinkleVA-
Did you go to nearby Costcos to look for your beloved jam?
Might be available in other area stores, so take a pix of the jar label, send/ ask friends family to look at their neighborhood Costco for this specific jam.

The women’s merino blend socks are back - 3 pair for 9.99 and they are heavenly on the feet - sold out last year so if you think you’d like me get them now.

They just opened one across the road from Sam’s Club in my area, about a 15 minute drive away. I have had a Sam’s Club membership for years but since Costco is new I decided to try it. I haven’t seen much difference as of yet with Sam’s Club. I did not like the Kirkland mashed potatoes. They had a funny taste and I love potatoes so was disappointed because they are a quick side dish. They have had huge amounts of things to try. I was also disappointed that they did not have just cheese ravioli - they had all the fancy kinds - lobster, butternut squash, mushroom but no plain cheese. They also did not have any individually wrapped candy - my husband keeps it on his desk to share. I am going to try it and see how I like the food and if not happy will go back to Sam’s.

We like the chicken and mozzarella ravioli - not too fancy, just good! In fact, S who is a senior at college just brought some back with him to his apt and send me a picture last night of his dinner plate - he was so impressed that he could have a yummy filled ravioli in minutes!

No Costco in my state, alas, but I sometimes go there when visiting my mother in CT. Recently, she bought some guacamole for me that I LOVE! (I’ve actually emailed the company to see if they sell it anywhere up here.)

It is Goodfoods Tableside Greek Yogurt Guacamole with Garlic, Onions & Tomatoes in single serving packs. Each little tub is 70 calories. I normally don’t buy things that are premade or packaged individually, but this stuff is delicious, and the 70 calorie packs are great for those trying to limit calories. It also means that the rest stays perfectly fresh. There are no preservatives: only real ingredients.

I’ll have to look for that Guac! Sounds good.

I have enjoyed their chicken tortilla soup. I think it’s a seasonal thing. Low calorie and very good!

As for single wrapped candy–not sure what you were looking for, but I always buy the large bag of wintergreen lifesavers–great if that’s what you are looking for.

Since there have been at least a couple threads on Trader Joes, & Costco has been mentioned on the legging thread several times, I thought they needed their own thread for other stuff.

I ordered some Kristen Blake coats online ( got two sizes since the reviews said they ran small, they didn’t, but still fit weird)& I took them back in person so I could get D some boot socks.
They also are carrying smaller sizes in men’s underwear now ( H takes a 30).
I like the camisoles with the bra thing for layering. They have Hunter rain boots, I didn’t get any but I may go back since D has them in her Pinterest Wishlist.
I end up putting half the stuff back from my cart, like the Head tech gloves that were a good price & they worked if you held your fingers just right, but the fingers were still too long even in the extra small.

I also forgot to get Pennzoil, but I found some break resistant Italian wine glasses - 8 for $15.
I was hoping to find a footed plate but no luck.
Lots of nice looking knives & Le cruset pots.
We used to always get Jan Brett picture books because she had new ones at Christmas but I didn’t even look at the books except the Vanishing Seattle history series.
We also used to get the Best American books that came out to read during Xmas break.
I did get my car washed though.
Now I suppose it will rain.
