Just booked our cruise through Costco travel this past weekend. They were giving out a costco cash card for each cabi n booked in addition to the promos offered by the cruise lines.
Just got very attractive black umbrellas that are “automatic” push button to open, discounted to $7 apiece. Also bought pen/pencil sets that were individually boxed–$7 for 3 sets or $2.33 per set! Each set comes in its own attractive gift box. Also bought “veggie bites” that should be used by or frozen on 5/30 for $3 for a 28 oz box (just microwave and serve with dip or salsa or for use with lettuce wrap)! They’re sort of like meatballs but gluten free and no meat. Also got 8 cans of chili for $10.99 (only item that wasn’t on clearance.
They had 300 count cotton sheet sets on clearance for $15 apiece, but we all have enough.
we bought some beautiful flower bouquets for daughter’s grad party last week. The roses were coral in color and are so so so pretty a week later! the other bouquet of mixed flowers was great too. “Garden Party” theme via “the office”
Yes, the flowers there are so reasonable and lovely!
Last Sunday our Costco had macaroni and cheese in the refrigerated section (near the shrimp salad, pizza, etc.). That’s the first time I’ve ever seen it but maybe I missed it before. Anyway, we bought it and served it the next day – it’s fantastic! I hope it becomes a regular item.
No matter what we do, the roses don’t seem to last. But, if they die within a week and one is willing to deal with the hassle, Costco will take them back.
Just ordered a gift tower of sweets (similar to Harry and David) from the Costco website. Ordered Monday night (holiday) for 3-5 day delivery. It was delivered Wednesday morning. Total $33, free shipping. That’s not much more than rush shipping charge alone at most places.
I love their mac and cheese @patsmom. They don’t have it all the time, but they do seem to have it semi-regularly at our local Costco. My family won’t touch boxed mac and cheese and I’ve spoiled them with homemade; Costco’s is easily as good. Sometimes I doctor it up just a little with some cayenne, dry mustard powder and/or a little Worcestershire sauce, but it’s great just as is too.
Tried their Mac and cheese first time this weekend and it was a hit. Will definitely buy again -----
I really dislike Mac and Cheese --except for Costco’s.
We put it into lunch size containers and freeze it for H’s lunches.
Have some beautiful NY steaks for tonight from Costco’s.
Best Organic Ground Beef in town.
D and future hubby just got the engagement ring at Costco. Much, much, much better quality for a considerably lower cost than any of the jewelry stores. The only draw back…no pretty box with a status name. Oh well…
We always grab a big 106oz can or two of Nina’s Italian peeled tomatoes. I love to make Sunday Gravy, and these cans save me a ton of $$$.
We get the seasoned tri-tip every once in a while. Easy to grill and is a nice little treat without having the cost of going out.
Marcona almonds. A great post workout snack.
Somehow I never leave Costco without a book, Yesterday it was After the Fall. (I went in for cantaloupe and came out with that, the book and watershoes.)
^Somehow I never leave Costco with any money left in my pocket!
Just returned from Costco and was happy that they had Peter and Pat’s Pierogi. It’s an item they don’t always have, and I was hoping they would be there today. I can’t find fresh pierogi where I live, and we like this frozen kind best.
Oh man. I just came from there!! But, in addition to the fruit I bought, they had the chocolate covered dried mangos. Love that stuff!
Well shoot, I meant Before the Fall, not After the Fall.
I’ve had really good luck with mail order flowers from Costco. I did the Lillies for my parents (they lasted almost 3 weeks) and the 100 roses for my niece and MIL. The quality was mind blowing. I bought myself the 150 carnations for Christmas and was not as thrilled. I’m doing the Mac and Cheese next!!!
