What do you buy at Costco?

Love the pierogis.

Haven’t got my new Costco Visa yet - anyone else NOT get theirs??

Haven’t seen mine yet either.

H and I and D all got our Visa cards about a week ago in the mail.

My Visa came a few weeks ago. My card is a Coatco business Visa if that makes a difference. Card isn’t good to use till the 20th.
This week at Costco II bought two camping chairs. They also had huge bags of potting soil for 9.99. I also have been getting really good strawberries and organic blueberries. I like the baby cucumbers but last time I went most of them were already going bad.
I find the flowers hit or miss. I usually buy cut flowers from Trder Joes but the last few batches of tulips have been a bust.

My card hasn’t come yet. I’ve been getting more things on-line from Costco. Free shipping and if I don’t like it, I’ll just take it back whenever I go in.

I just googled “100 roses and Costco.” Wow 100 roses for $79.00? That’s pretty amazing. Are they in a vase and are they good quality roses or do they not open up and droop? Think I might actually look into joining after reading this thread.

I spend a small fortune on flowers for my home and would love a more economical source than my local florist.

My daughter is thinking of getting these flowers for her wedding: http://www.costco.com/.product.11503348.html?cm_sp=RichRelevance--itempageVerticalRight--CategorySiloedViewCP&cm_vc=itempageVerticalRight|CategorySiloedViewCP

I believe in store, the roses are normally $15 or so for 18 long-stemmed roses. They also sell tulips and assorted bouquets at decent prices.

We buy chewing gum, lawn chairs, holiday food baskets, mixed nuts, granola bars & other snacks and much more - sometimes flowers for the garden, laundry detergent, storage bags, office supplies & even some clothing for the kids (don’t tell them .

My kids are happy we buy clothing and other items from Costco, especially with no hassle full refunds!

I don’t have a Costco membership but will get one soon even though its just the two of us.

Has anyone gotten tires from Costco. Are you happy with them. Are the tires made specifically for Costco?

Our Visa card hasn’t arrived yet, either.

Yes, we have bought Costco tires and they were fine and convenient (they will call or text you when done installing). Not sure if they have tires specially made for Costco but have standard brands per website.

Thanks HImom. Sometimes brand name companies will make a similar but different version for box stores. Often a lesser quality. I was hoping this might not be the case. I have to sell joining Costco to H who is Costco adverse. I can join of course but I want him to buy his big purchases there.

We’re bought tires twice at Costco. The last ones we got we’re supposed to be very good in the rain, and I really think they were. Or, could be the old ones were so bad, that just getting new ones made a big difference! I also liked being able to shop while they installed the tires. Both times they did it, I got my text before I was finished shopping.

I’m sure you can call one of their tire shops and ask them whether the tires they sell are exclusively made for Costco. In my experience, the things they have custom-made for Costco have been very good to excellent quality.

If desired, you can buy a membership and try it out and get a refund if dissatisfied. You could also have someone buy you a Costco cash card that you can use there to try out with no membership.

We’ve used Costco for years for tires- they carry name brand tires. It is nice to be able to drop the car off and do some shopping while they are working on your tires. I believe they also rotate the tires for free.

Making Tuna Satay and my made up marinated Prawns–both from Costco–for company tonight.
The Tuna is a large quantity so tomorrow I will take the left overs and make
tuna salad using big chunks.
Buy their huge bags of lemons and limes. Kept in the frog they last a long time.
H came home with a nice short sleeve shirt today.
There are only two of us and sometimes things have to be tossed but the quality
is quite good.

@HarvestMoon1 - the 100 for$79 come in a big shipping box. You have to order in advance. They look a little scary at first, but once you trim the ends and put them in water they look amazing. They lasted much longer than store bought…no drooping. Except some of the light pinks weren’t as good as the dark pink. I called them and they gave me a full refund. I still had 75 roses that looked great.

@walkinghome - I want to hear how the Euro Mini’s turn out. I’ve seen real life pictures of them and they looked good!

When we have too much, we will share with family, friends or neighbor’s before produce or food goes bad–win/win!
