What do you guys think of 4-Day Weekends?

I’m doing priority registration here at SFSU and I’m picking out a Decision Science class and and English Compisition class for Tuesday and Thursday(9:35-11 for DS, a 1.5 hour break, followed by Eng. for 1.5 more hours). I’ll probably schedule another T/Th class after that and a 3 hour evening class on Wednesday for final registration. I’m also doing an online ISYS class online which is extremely easy and that’ll bring my units up 15.
My apartment is only about a 3-4 minute walk away from campus and our campus is relatively small compared to others.

Think this is a good idea? I’m a freshman and I’ve had spread out schedules both semesters this year.

I tried doing 4 day weekends earlier this semester but really disliked it. 3 day weekends are great but 4 days is just too long. It feels too much like a vacation with school just lumped in the middle of the week. Felt too strange and a bit too easy to get lazy since there’s no school for 4 days.

I agree with Vihzel, four days out of seven just seems like to much off time to me. Things could get boring fast

I had just one class on Friday and one class on Monday, and I quite liked it. But I hate going to class (and rarely go when I actually have it) so it depends on you. For me it was great though, there were four party nights! :D

Having one day to do nothing is usually a treat, but more than that can get old quick. Especially if it’s every week. If you have to go with this schedule, get a job or internship that will fill up the time.

It would be great if you could just work for those four days and then your school days would be spent entirely on schoolwork. An internship is also a good idea:)

It’s perfectly fine to do if you have other things occupying the time. For example, if I am accepted to transfer to NYU, then I plan to have classes 3 or even 2 days a week but work full time as a real estate agent. More school is replaced with more work

I’d love it. It’s especially great if you have places you’d like to go for a few days. I like to go on weekend trips to the mountains, and I’d be thrilled to be able to take a 4 day trip without missing any school. Would be tempting to do it every weekend, and not put enough effort into classes though…still I’d totally go for it.
