What do you hate....that almost everyone else loves

@WalknOnEggShells -

I have not been to Sedona but it is on my list. My H doesn’t like to travel (I guess that’s HIS thing that he hates that most other people love!) so I am working on going places with my kids or friends. I did the Grand Canyon day trip last year with my D and loved it but not so much that I wanted to hike down into it. Walking around the top for a bit and gazing out and down was enough. I did find it peaceful because we went in February and it wasn’t that crowded but I know that staying in the lodge and spending more than a few hours would have made me crazy.

What time of year would you recommend for a trip to Sedona?

Went to Sedona last summer. The weather was wonderful. Especially after the very hot temperatures of Pheonix. It was amazing scenery wise. The town was typical tourist. They all seem to be the same. Each is trying to vend their "thing"but it is the same. Sedonia, Old Towm Phenonix, Jacksonhole,.Santa Fe, Cooperstown, etc. and many others.

I can’t stand ketchup

@techmom99, I would go in the summer like @morrismm did. It’s usually 10 - 20 degrees cooler in Sedona than it is in Phoenix, so when it’s 107 in Phoenix, it can be 87 in Sedona.

They have a few places where you can go swimming in these natural rock formations that are like slides. One of the places is called Slide Rock. I’m pretty sure the water is too cold unless you go in the dead of the summer. It’s a little bit dangerous, but tons of fun if you’re careful.

Grits.

The songs “I Love Rock and Roll”, “Girls Just Want to Have Fun” and “Old Time Rock and Roll.” Done to death!

Kale salad. It tastes like cardboard.

Words never seen before “rabid beet hater.”

More and more, organized religion, for the hypocrisy and stupidity and other negative aspects outweighing what it can do for people and the good it can inspire. I am not saying that about personal faith or belief as a whole, I am not an atheist and if I was, would still respect the concept and beauty that faith can have in people’s lives, talking organized religion.

Goat cheese, yuk! Like licking the floor of a barn.

I don’t think this falls into the category of things “almost everyone else loves.”

Mmm, kale. said almost no one, ever.

@MOD, (said stomping foot ) :open_mouth: I love kale! It’s got that chewy texture. I like to shred it and throw it into the stew-pot raw right after I turn off the heat. It softens just enough but not too much. Of course, I don’t expect anyone to eat it except me, so I get the whole thing. I therefore expect to be kicking until I’m 100, btw

Crime dramas and 99% of television shows on TV. A lot of people seem to think these are the golden years for television. I do not agree.

@inthegarden my D loves Kale as well. Unfortunately she also loves Auntie Anne’s pretzels and Dairy Queen soft serve!

I do not love Kale, but occasionally a Kale salad, if done right, can taste pretty good.

i do like kale in a mixed salad with other flavors and textures, but a handful of raw kale by itself? blecchh.
