To help pass the time until decisions come out…
What do you applicants plan on doing when you login to your dream school’s portal and (hopefully) see you’ve been accepted?
I plan on calling my sister, grandparents, and aunt (in that order) to tell them the news. After, Facebook will hear and then I’ll buy a hoodie, sweatpants, and a shirt with the school’s colors online. After all that, I’ll drive to get some ice cream (and won’t skimp on the fudge sauce).
What do you see yourself doing? How will you celebrate?
I plan on screaming, for about 10 minutes straight. Then refreshing the page to see if it changed. Then posting it on Facebook. Then refreshing the page to see if it changed. Then calling everyone (family, best friends, etc.). Then refreshing the page to see if it changed. Then calling the school to see if they made a mistake. Then refreshing the page to see if it changed. Then eating everything in the house. Then refreshing the page to see if it changed. Then going crazy in school the next day/insane if it is a weekend.
I have no idea what D will do when she finally gets accepted into a school in her top choices, but I know that I’m headed to Mexico for some R&R on the 10th of April and she’s been told that a decision MUST be made prior to that. I can hardly wait to get a good nights’ sleep lol. It is clear that I am agonizing more than she over where she will be accepted. Unfortunately, my agony is all money related…I so want her to have an affordable choice from somewhere near the top of her list.
