I think that I am splurging on very expensive, high tech winter gloves. I borrowed H’s this AM and he measured my hand this PM.

Just ordered a Thermapen. I’m on their email list and yesterday got an email on private sale…paid $90 for $112 item. It’s a kitchen thermometer.

Thermapens are the best; I own two (what? I need a backup in case something ever happens to the first one)!
I splurge on cookware and kitchen knives. No crappy, dull knives allowed in my kitchen and I’ve been known to bring mine with me when I go to visit family with low kitchenware standards. They make fun of me, but I totally don’t care ;)

Data, I would say your house and cars are investments, not splurges. Some of the other stuff, yea maybe.

Perhaps the title should read …“OTHERS in your income bracket”. I can’t fault anyone little luxuries they can afford.

Data, I hope your future partner likes the house. I imagine each bedroom currently filled with computer and other hi-tech stuff.
