Yes, tuition. Also groceries (no coupons or bargain shopping - just buying what we want), DVDs, books, and weddings. Made up for by not splurging on cars, travel, housing, furniture, and jewelry, though I’ve got no problem with anyone who does splurge on those things. It’s their money.

DH’s answer would be Scotch. I hate the stuff, but DH dropped a couple hundred on a bottle. It will last him a long time and he deserves it!

My answer - anything related to my kid’s education. If they need it for school, I’m digging out the credit card.

My parents answer - food and shoes. We grew up eating the best food. And we always had expensive shoes because my parents thought cheap shoes would damage our feet and make us miserable as we got older. But other than that, my parents were very tight with their money.

Lawn guys
Tuition
Three star restaurant meals
Scotch (but we hardly ever drink it - it took two years to drink the bottle we brought back from Scotland)
Wine

(Maybe I should just say food and drink - I never shop the sales for groceries, I don’t buy stuff that even uses coupons except paper goods.)

Comic books.

Tuition
Music Lessons
Musical Instruments
Swords
Bed Linens
Potatoes

I always say I have three very expensive habits. And I do. There isn’t much that those three snookums have ever been denied. And I’m ok with that.

zoos, potatoes??

Dining out. We love our local restaurants.
Coffee. You’ll never see Folgers or the like here.
Vacations. We don’t take luxury vacations but we travel often.

Ha! Just how much does a really good potato cost these days?

I would LIKE to be a person who splurges on wine. That’s who I want to imagine myself to be - it seems so classy. But, honestly, I’m not that person. Reminds me of a friend who said he would like to like oysters.

Education costs which includes college, instrument lessons, summer programs, etc.

House keeper

Lawn mowing

Zoosermom! No wonder your mashed potatoes are excellent. It looks like you use top potatoes!!

Vacations.
Dining out.

Food and beverages
Nice things for Ds
Home furnishings
Lake House
Maid service (and before someone criticizes my use of the word “maid”, the service is called “The Maids”).
Audio Visual system in our house
Yard service

Festool tools -

kitchen knives

David Yurman jewelry

My DH’s splurges:

Expensive shoes and custom made boots
Sports package on cable at lake house
David Yurman jewelry for his DW
Luxury car for his DW
Luxury hotels when traveling

I can vouch that. They did a terrific job, though.

Our home (We’ve always chosen a home in the best school district)
My wedding band and watch (It’s the only jewelery I wear)
China (I use it everyday and can put it in the dishwasher, oven, microwave)
Wild-caught Fish and Choice meats

Potatoes. I spend about 35 dollars a week on potatoes. Yukon Gold only and I usually like to pick them individually by hand. I get comments every time I shop. But I don’t care.

College tuition for sure!

DH loves men’s fragrance. Lucky Scent shows up on the credit card statement fairly regularly.

My indulgence is a pedicure every 6 weeks and professional hair color.

Huh. That’s a lot of potatoes!

Toledo, thanks.

I pick my green beans individually, so I get “the look”, but no comments.

So how much is $35 worth of potatoes? Enough to eat every day? Baked?
