Looks okay I guess. I wouldn’t stay there, but it’s alright.

Are you going to be a freshman? That is so expensive for two people.
I seriously hope there are 4 people living there. Like seriously.

Its like so far away from UT too.

Yeah, that’s on-campus housing prices right there, and since it’s off-campus you’ll have to add transportation and food.

Ughh I’m paying close to that amount ($2080/month) and my place is teeny-tiny, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, another room that’s divided into kitchen and living area…barely enough room for 2 people to move around (we have a dog too!) So your place looks like a luxury mansion to me! Come to NYC and you’ll get a walk-in closet for that price.

I guess it’s true everythings bigger in Texas. :(

it’s cool if you can pay the bill allby yourself

That’s a bit extravagant, isn’t it? That’s bigger than my family’s house. You need to find more roommates if you’re living there.

For austin that is crazy expensive.
I’m paying $550 a month including food/utilities/internet.

It looks really nice, but a little too extravagant. Why does one bedroom have two walk-in-closets?

But I’d love to live there :]

The price is a bit steep (but I’m not familiar with Austin so w/e), but it looks beautiful, especially for a college student.

It’s nice, but very expensive for college students when you can likely get cheaper room and board with a great meal plan… and on if not near the campus.

Like others have said, it looks a little overboard for a college student… but if you can afford it, good for you, I guess.

The place looks really nice… but wow, that price is really steep (especially if there are only 2 people staying there).

I have a 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom (plus kitchen and living room) apartment. There are 3 of us living there and the monthly rent is $980.

Way too much for a college student imo. Why not find something cheaper? Unless you can afford it of course haha, in which case have fun.

I went there to lease it yesterday and I can get it for $1500/month. If my friend and I split that, it costs less for each of us than living on campus in a dorm does. Win?

My apartment is almost four times that cost and I’m by myself.
Then again, I’m in Manhattan.

Clearly, I need to move to Texas.

I’m going to UT. My housing is $7,881 for the regular on-campus dorms. One room, two people. I did get one of the best regular (community bathroom) dorms, even though the worse ones are the same price.

When you think about it, it costs me $7881 for September, October, November, (December+August), (January+May), February, March, April. That’s 8 months of time total, since some of the months (which I combined) are only half months. That comes out to $985 a month. This includes $1600 in food money, which will almost cover what I need for lunch and dinner each day. Breakfast I’m getting on my own. If you take the cost of food out of the equation, that means it costs me $7881-1600=6281 total, or $785 per month. And I can’t stay over Winter break if I wanted to.

So, when you really think about it, this apartment is cheaper than staying in the on campus dorms. Although you have to factor in travel time and such for your schedules, and it is a bit inconvenient living off campus (or, at least far away from campus and not in one of the virtually-on-campus-it’s-so-close off-campus dorms/apartments)

“I went there to lease it yesterday and I can get it for $1500/month. If my friend and I split that, it costs less for each of us than living on campus in a dorm does. Win?”

12 month lease?

Massive win if its not far from campus

who gets the two walk-in closets?

Jesus, 1290 feet for $2050 a month. I wish I lived in Texas.
