I have to decide between a BA or BS in biology. The plan is to go to med school. Here’s the problem.

For a BS, I have to take the 3rd series of a lower division math class. But I am TERRIBLE at math. I scraped a C in the previous 2 math classes. I’m afraid itll bring my GPA down more.

For a BA, I have to take 3 quarters of a foreign language plus do a “mini minor.” I am not great at languages, but I think I’d have a better fighting chance than in calculus. I don’t know much about the mini minor but it kind of seems like busy work at this point.

So, should I spend a little extra time working on the BA in subjects I’m not familiar with, or walk into the fire and take that one math class that I so much dread?

OR, should I become a biotechnology major which requires neither additional Calculus or language. But do med schools want biotech majors?
