What do you use to put your hair up that is cute and easy?

@1214mom - no need to be sorry. I am right there with you. I am kind of glad that our present circumstances forced me into growing my hair out a bit as I am liking it longer. However, a trim would do me some good - I need one. There are many things from which I am abstaining that I would like to do. I know everyone has different comfort levels. I am wary and cautious and still not doing things that I don’t think are necessary. I think the frustrating part is that initially it was sort of a “we’re all stuck in this no salon visits situation together” bonding thing. Now it just feels like going to the salon or not going to the salon is yet another thing dividing all of us. It’s just disheartening.

@colorado_mom - I have seen many cute fabric covered headbands lately that are wide and have a knot tied at the top. Or some that are embellished with pearls. Would some type of headband work to keep the hair out of your eyes?

I like snap clips lot. My hair is very fine. I too have to keep growing-out bangs out of my eyes.

I grew out my grey/white hair a couple years ago and agree it’s hard to find any clips or barrettes that don’t clash. My Pony-O is gray. I have a really old French barrette that was a black and grey swirl, and that’s it.

E t s y has tons of attractive barrettes in silver, grey, white, blue, green, etc. including some really lovely fused glass ones. Variety of sizes and reasonably priced.

@Marilyn You’ve opened up a whole new world - those fused glass barrettes are lovely! I’m still avoiding getting my hair cut and the summer heat has made wearing it in a pony tail the most comfortable style. Thinking of making scrunchies with leftover elastic (now the mask making has slowed down) and some old silk scarves lying untouched in the closet.
