Dos–a marshmallow over a real firewood or charcoal fire will have those flavors infused into it which imparts it’s own flavor.
But it’ll still taste good.
Good bourbon on the side will help.

I love your blood donation idea. My S17 is already a member of the gallon donor club and that’s with having done the ALYX machine three times, which doubles the wait time between donations. All of my children donate blood on a regular basis, as do I. H is on blood thinners and unable to donate but he drives us and provides TLC to those who do. S17 is trying to set up a drive as part of his scouting advancement.

I took the bull by the horns and bought myself a ticket to a Broadway show. I am taking a half day off and going to a matinee for my holiday present.

I’m in the don’t need or want any more stuff camp (though I may need to replace my cappuccino machine if it is, as I suspect, dying). We are going to Vegas for Christmas so that is out gift to ourselves. My son just flew in to visit for a long weekend which is gift enough for me. The 4 of us are going to a nice restaurant followed by a basketball game tonight (SIL is working unfortunately) which I am really looking forward to. I’d rather get to do something with my kids than get stuff. Don’t see enough of them.

I like the idea of a trip with kids. Don’t think it will happen in 17. My brother will be coming over in 18 (he and I decided to alternate after my Mum died so I will go to England one year and he will come here the next). He and his wife met up with us at my son’s in SC this year and we flew my daughter and her husband in for a long weekend. It was the first time in many years that we’ve all been together. I hope we’ll manage to all meet up again in 18. I love the idea of doing an Alaskan cruise together (but I may be the only one who likes that idea!)
