Upon inquiring about the in state tuition scholarship for out of state students the other day at my son’s prospective college, I was told that the scholarship isn’t guaranteed all four years as it isn’t granted by the college but by the state, and the state government can discontinue the program when it and if it decides to. I didn’t see this anywhere on the college’s website not was this information in the scholarship letter sent to him. I had assumed it was for all four years as long as he met the gpa, etc requirements. Now I am wondering what else we haven’t been told that is important information. Is there anything that you found out later that you wish you had known before your child enrolled in a school?
