<p>During this time period many incoming freshman are looking for roommates and are very new to the process. So, what do you wish you knew about your roommate prior to moving in with them?</p>

<p>If they’re actually being truthful or not. My roommate, whom I selected, said all these great things…I came to find out that while they’re not necessarily false, they were not how she really was - it was just how she saw herself (and we all see ourselves differently than how we really are). She’s a beeyotch.</p>
<p>As for something you can actually figure out…pay really good attention to their answers. Ask them if they’re REALLY ok with things.</p>
<p>I completely agree with the statement about truthfulness. Just browsing people’s URoomSurf accounts is so redundant. Everyone basically says the same things: “i’m not a neat freak but not a slob, not a party animal but i like to go out, not a bookworm but i care about my grades” etc… </p>
<p>How do you suggest filtering through the dishonesty?</p>

<p>I wish they wouldn’t stab you in the back saying they’ll be your roommate next year and dumping you last minute! I really can’t stand her face now, but I’m going to be nice because we have a month of school left.</p>

<p>I set my alarm a half hour because if I try to get up the first time it goes off I will literally fall on the floor. I can’t wake up that quickly. But my roommate does the same thing and I don’t even hear her alarm anymore, I don’t know if mine still wakes her up.</p>
<p>I don’t even know what I wish I’d known about my roommate. She is just a fake ***** who is so high on herself it’s bewildering. I know there are some things about me that drive her nuts (of course she won’t tell me when things are bothering her, but I can tell), but at this point I am so fed up of her bull that I am not even really trying anymore. I won’t be discourteous but I am not friendly with her anymore.</p>
