What does acceptance depend on?

<p>Say if I don’t have the highest GPA (~3.3-3.4) but I have a pretty rigorous course load, will I look better over an applicant with a higher GPA, but classes that aren’t as easy? Which would look better, a student with mostly B’s, a couple of A’s, but almost all Honors/AP classes, or a straight A student with lower classes? </p>

<p>I’m worried, because I’m taking 3 AP classes this year, 3 Honors, but I have a few B’s, and Pitt is my top choice.</p>

<p>A’s and B’s in honors/APs looks a lot better then all As in low level classes.</p>

<p>Sounds like you’ll be fine. As with a few Bs and a harder courseload is always looked upon better than a straight A student who did not challenge themselves at all.</p>
