Under the textbooks links, there is a section that lists “optional” items. They say “Single Variable.” What does that mean?</p>
<p>Anything that is optional means just that. You don’t technically need it for the class and the teacher won’t expect everyone to have it, but it certainly may help you.</p>

<p>Single Variable means that the calculus you’re taking is just dealing with one, single variable (ex. x) instead of multivariable (ex. x, y, & z).</p>
