<p>I am working on my college transfer application to The University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and there are 3 essays I must do. Each essay gives me an exact word count. However, 1 of the essays says that the for limit must be “APPROXIMATELY 250 words”. I really like my essay but it is 283 words. Is this a big no, no? Should I try and trim it down to 250? I’m afraid cutting the word count down might make my essay lose some of it’s effect.</p>
