What does it mean if I randomly get bruises for no reason?

Bruising easily also runs in my family - my grandmother, mother, me and S2. My doctor did run blood work on me & it was all normal. Have it checked, but don’t worry about it.

There’s a big difference between somebody who has always bruised easily, and somebody who suddenly notices a lot of bruises. Go to the doctor.

Absolutely agree. I’m glad to see that most are advising the OP to see a doctor, but she should not begin a vitamin regimen or any other treatment until she has had a CBC. While she should not panic, she should not take the fact that other posters on this board bruise easily as any kind of comfort because that is totally irrelevant in light of the fact that her bruising is of recent onset.

Low platelets are nothing to fool around with. Obviously this is far beyond normal I-must-have-bumped-myself bruising. Please see a doctor.

I’ve always bruised easily also, but I noticed a big change for the worse after I started taking a baby aspirin on a daily basis. Just a hard touch would bruise me. Stopping the aspirin put me right back to normal. I guess for some of us, the aspirin is too much of a blood thinner.
