the thing is is that this admissions season was the most competetive in history. duke admitted a record low 18%, rice was 23%…etc. i cant really give you a good answer b/c i dunno how it will be for the class of 2009. many say it will peak next year, some say it was the hardest this year and will be a bit easier next year, depending on the # of HS graduates. You have good ECs, and have taken lots of APs so far. Your SATs are low, so you need to retake them (for the top schools on your list)…i dont kno your class rank…so that would sway thing sone way or the other. Honestly, if you get your SATs up and do well on the SAT IIs, you have a decent shot, especially if you have good essays.

thanks man- i was expecting that answer but thank you for confirming haha

by standards of the school according to some websites it says im around the bottom 30 % of accepted students for SAT scores.

what are this years avg SAT scores for this year for the schools listed above?

probably your chances are max’d at duke if you retake the SATs and then apply ED…i know Duke takes legacy into account more ED than RD

Most schools are reaches on your list but I’d say that you have a better shot at USC/BC (depending on your area; if from the NE than better shot at USC, if from the South/West/Midwest better shot at BC), and Emory if you demonstrate alot of interest
