What does it take to get into unc chapel-hill?

<p>Im in the 8th grade right now and I will be in 9th grade next year with all honor courses. I was wondering because Ive been wanting to go to unc chapel hill since I was like 8. What does it take to get there. I dont know if it helps but my dad went to unc but the expectations for acceptance has probaly changed. My aunt and uncle work at unc.</p>

<p>If you live in North Carolina, it’s fairly easy to get in… if not, then yeah, you will need to get really good grades.</p>

<p>It’s easier if your in NC, but still not ‘easy’. I’d say at least a 3.7 GPA, 30 ACT/2050 SAT, at least a few good ECs, and write good essays. That’s about it. </p>

<p>Oh and it helps if you’re not white.</p>

<p>Not easy in NC by a long shot. For most kids here it’s their dream school. I would agree that it’s definitely easier than OOS, though.</p>

<p>(In all seriousness though - leave this site, take lots of honor courses, get good grades, and do activities you care about your freshman and sophomore years of high school. then come back on here after your sophomore year)</p>
