What does Rm# 1214 in Transfer Center mean?

I ask way too many questions on here but does it mean 12th Floor room 14? Thanks.

second floor. The 1 is the building number–I know it’s always 1 for TC and 4 for '18, so that, for example, my room in TC (1430) correlated with 4430 in '18. Second number is floor # (2) and the 14 refers to room number. Hope this helps. :)

There used to be six buildings in that complex, all of the same design. Some have now been demolished and are being replaced by new residence halls. So you’re in building 1 of 6, except that some of the others aren’t there anymore.

last year, the second floor of the TC was the best.

jason, does that mean you already got your room assignment? I’m a transfer too, so I’m wondering what the time line is for us.

jason,
did you get an email about your assignment to your cornell email or to a different one?

MFtransfer, go to housing.cornell.edu to see if they have given you a room yet.

how many rooms per floor approximately?

Did you need your netid to apply for housing?

i tried to log into the site and it says access denied… i guess that means i will have to wait a little longer :-p

no, you didn’t need NETID for housing.

Jason are you just asking this question out of the blue or did housing email you and give you that assignment? If they emailed you and gave you that assignment, damn. Most other transfers haven’t heard anything yet. I thought they weren’t gonna do it until July.

I got my transfer housing assignment. TRANSFERS: go to housing.cornell.edu and on the top RIGHT hand side there is a link to find your undergraduate housing status. simply follow the steps and you’ll be set.

do you mean the thing that says “For Undergraduate students who have been offered space in Undergraduate Residence Halls, click here to view your assignment, review the terms & conditions, and accept your contract.” ?? Still not working :-(

Cornell Housing said that they couldn’t even make the deadline for freshman housing (June 19), so it sounds like they are really backed up.

Jason, I did what you said, logged in using my net id on the housing page and there was a green check there saying my assignment was complete and they gave me the room assignment TNFR #1314-2. Did you get that TNFR in front of yours? I’d assume that means transfer center. I also suspect that the -2 means it’s a double, not sure though.

If you check undergraduate student and then click next you’ll go to a screen where you can confirm your housing and see who your roommate is

I think -2 means you’re the second person in the room…at my other school, my roommate was -1 because her last name came first alphabetically, and I was -2.

Madden, welcome to the third floor. I’ll be down the hall.

TNFR 1224-2 here. checked up on my roommate, who is apparently a jr
