What does the LEC+DIS mean when scheduling classes?

<p>I’m looking through the summer schedule and I see:</p>

<p>Course: ECONOMICS 1 P 001 LEC
Course: ECONOMICS 1 S 102 DIS
Along with other Econ 1 with the DIS designation at the end.</p>

<p>I’m coming from a CC and we just chose one class. I’m assuming I need to schedule both of those courses, with the main lecture on one certain time and the DIS I’m assuming means a discussion class with multiple times through out the week.</p>

<p>I’m trying to fill out the “app form for visiting students” and sort of confused on how to fill it out properly on the “course section”. Any help or links to more information would be awesome.</p>

<p>You only need to choose one of the discussion time listed along with your lecture. Many times, the discussion is the GSI going over some problems and turning your homework.</p>
