What does this mean?

I’ve been getting really fancy stuff from prep schools lately (at least, I think it’s fancy). Like today, I got a 200-page color book from Andover sent in Priority Mail, and costed $4.05 to send.

But I’m really confused, because I’m not that great academically (3.93 GPA, but at a below-average public school), I’m not that great at my EC’s (there are hundreds of people out there better than me at math, violin, and piano, and plus, I’m asian). I’m not special at all.

Not only that, but I’m in 10th grade already, and the thread about getting in as an 11th grader said that it would be really hard.

Or is this something normal? Because I’ve gotten letters before from prep school, when I was in middle school and more likely to apply, but they were all just letters.

So yea, I’m just wondering about this, because I’m not that special, but they’re sending me this stuff.

Don’t feel special about the 200 page book. I got one too, but I asked for information.

Did you inquire about Andover in middle school? Maybe they think you’re still interested.

I know that Andover usually sends it’s prospectus to kids instead of letters. I started getting them through academic summer camps I attended. Sometimes your current school will sign you up for them. Kids get them for a variety of reasons.
