What does this phrase mean? "GED is not accepted"

<p>I keep seeing this phrase on several private college’s profiles: “GED is not accepted”. What does this mean? Thank you in advance!</p>

<p>It means you must be a HS graduate. GEDs are generally considered equivalency diplomas for HS but in this case, not.</p>

<p>GED = General Education Diploma usually earned by students who didn’t finish high school and so didn’t earn a (regular) High School Diploma.</p>
