<p>Their system could be made to update at midnight though. I doubt they sit down on computers and instantly admit or reject people. They probably sit down, make their decisions, and then notify their system of the decisions they have made and the system takes care of sending the letters and updating profiles etc. </p>

<p>USC is surprisingly high tech as far as their admissions process goes. They have a crazy computerized system that takes care of everything. When you fax them information, it’s not like there is a person on the other side sorting and putting stuff in files. It’s a computer that takes an image of the file you sent and instantly updates your account and notifies you by email. Crazy stuff. Since most systems seem to like doing things at midnight, It doesn’t surprise me that the updates would happen around then.</p>

<p>EDIT: Then again this is all assuming statuses are correlated with admissions (so far it seems that way)</p>

<p>candy45- there is absolutely no reason to even begin losing hope… These two weeks are when people REALLY get accepted. Its like forfeiting a tournament before the first game has started haha. Stay strong everyone!</p>

<p>yea, I guess you’re right. but, i can’t help it but get increasingly more upset when i hear that all these people are getting accepted, and i still haven’t got anything yet.</p>

<p>Not to mention the April 1st wave isn’t just rejections. Last year, several people were accepted on that last round and they had an even more bizarre wave pattern than we did.</p>

<p>yes, most likely, this is good news. i’ve seen people who’ve had this status and days later got in. so , most likely, it is positive. </p>

<p>My status is the same as of February 25th, I’ve been checking everyday, ever minute. Should I call USC Admissions and find out? Because I also sent them an email to update my profile and they were like" it will be updated", and it hasn’t been because the last day they’ve updated it was Feb 25th, I sent it in to them after that date.</p>
