What does your status page say? 2.0

I’m VERY stressed out… and CC hasn’t helped! Hahaha. I’m glued to my computer… :(

I just want to know already…

candy45- I agree with you.

Can you all answer a question for me. Is it working this way this year?

1st: Your app is being reviewed by the administration committee (with status update)

2nd: Your application has been acted upon

Are people getting the “acted upon” status change they got last year?

what majors are you guys applying for?

I think most of us here have some variation of this message updated at different periods of time:

Undergraduate Application (Part II, Fall 2009)
Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.

Same here nagooya. The longer I stay on CC (which has been a couple of hours a day), the more worried I get. I need a vacation… In fact WE ALL need a vacation. Ya know, I wonder if college admission officers get a kick out of all of us freaking out on a daily basis, lol

I know the adcom from USC reads CC, I’m sure they’re laughing at us… Haha, I’d laugh at us too…:D

I don’t know if this is really accurate. Unless my mail got lost, I haven’t received an acceptance packet yet, and my status update was on 3/13.

I hate this waiting. Ugh. I think colleges get some sort of twisted pleasure out of their applicant’s anxiety.

So there is no

Your application has been acted upon

This year?

katiebob- atleast you got your site updated, I still haven’t and it’s driving me insane :(

I just wish there was some consistency to it. Half of us get updated, half of us dont, and then half the updated people get in, and half dont, and half the people without updates get in. And then half of us can login to various logins, and some of those people are accepted, and some arent. And to make things worse, the dates letters arrive arent even consistent.

It’s still the ‘Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.’ Only the date changed. My oasis says the same, as well.
:/

My brother has some pretty sound reasoning on why I should get in, though. He insists that if I’m not happy, then the world won’t be happy, stocks will plunge, and we’ll all be screwed.
Don’t you love middle schoolers?

delass - Exactly! And I live in Alaska, so when I hear of waves and the like, it takes even longer than usual for mail to get up here.
So the waiting is horrendous.

awww  My brother is in middle school as well!

Well in the fall you will have to get used to a climate change!

That’s such a fun age. Pretty much care-free.

delass - I know! I’m really looking forward to it, though. -35 fahrenheit is icky. Not something you look forward to.

is…is that like year round weather or just a few dreaded winter nights?

Like, several weeks of dreaded weather, usually in January. It’s only 15-ish outside right now.
Haha, and the sun’s shining.

But naw, the highest it gets is around 65 (with the rare 70).

I’ve seen -57, though.

oh my gosh how do you deal with that cold of weather i could never!1

You stay inside.
And if you have to go outside, you layer so much that you can barely walk.

And I plan to get away from this weather as fast as I can. :P
