I am currently in between my sophomore and junior year and I am signed up to be an ib diploma candidate I have made As and Bs so far in freshman year I made a b on every report card but this year I have made almost all As I have taken all honors classes except for the required classes. I made one B this year in latin but I am trying to see If it will be changed because I think my techer may have made a mistake. I would like to go to UNC chapel hill or wake forest university or maybe Davidson college or Elon university. But my first choice would be UNC. I feel like UNC is really hard to get into and maybe a bit of a reach school for me. . My GPA is currently about 4.3 weighted and I am the top 14-17% of my class. I am taking a summer class right now and that might help some with my gpa. I have a few service clubs and I am on the cross country team . I am interested in majoring in political science and or journalism and I think UNC would be great for that. I was just wondering what else can I do to increase my chances into getting into UNC
I think if you want to be involved in UNC’s poli sci program, I strongly recommend maybe a student council or internship at city hall, something that makes UNC know you can inform yourself to step up and ooze into a field like that.
